Mutineer Magazine is proud to announce our high level sponsorship of the 3rd Annual CANFEST, Reno’s International Canned Beer Festival. The festival, which celebrates all things canned craft beer, will take place November 12th in beautiful downtown Reno. Tickets went on sale yesterday and are just $25 for as much canned craft beer as you can enjoy in one night. If you purchase your tickets by October 13th, you will automatically get a VIP ticket at normal price and you’ll be able to enter the festival an hour early for the Mutineer Magazine VIP Hour, giving you the opportunity to enjoy canned craft beer for an extra hour. Mutineer is also honored to be judging the Mutineer Magazine Sponsored CANFEST “Best in Show” Award.
Our friends at CANFEST are just as excited as we are, “Mutineer Magazine is one of our all-time favorite wine, beer, and spirit magazines, and we are honored to announce that they have joined the CANFEST team in 2011 to make this year more dynamic than ever. Why are they so great? Because their honest, original, and often times humorous approach to the beverage world makes for insightful AND entertaining content. And they have excellent taste, too! Mutineer is the official sponsor of our VIP hour (all the more reason to buy your tickets early), and will bring magazines, magazine subscriptions to give away, and judge the CANFEST “Best in Show” award.”
Lastly, only two weeks remain for the blogger contest! One lucky beer blogger will win a FREE trip to CANFEST including airfare to Reno, hotel, and entry to all CANFEST festivities. All you have to do is submit a post on why you deserve to come and then mobilize your team of voters when it opens up. Visit here for more info.
Remember to stop by our booth where we’ll be selling subscriptions, giving away magazines, giving away subscriptions and who knows what else. See you there!
Find CANFEST on Facebook and Twitter. Want to buy tickets? Visit Ticketmaster or the Silver Legacy’s on-site box office.

A couple weeks ago you may remember seeing a mention on the Mutineer blog for the Mutineer sponsored Russian River Valley Wingrowers “Single Night” event happening in Sonoma County on June 5. Well, now there is an opportunity for San Francisco Bay Area folks to attend the event via a luxury bus road trip aptly titled: TAKE IT TO THE RIVER – A Russian River Valley Wine Country VIP Road Trip.
This VIP package is $260 per person. $260 might sound like a lot of money right now. BUT, as a sponsor of the event, Mutineer Magazine is offering tickets to our subscribers and blog readers at 50% discount until 9:00PM on Thursday, May 27th – or until tickets sell-out. Continue Reading »

Ah yes! Another random appearance by yours truly on the Mutineer Blog. After 2 months of spotty blog posts from the road in the war-torn Mutineer Passat, I am writing this blog under duress at an undisclosed hotel somewhere between Chico and Sacramento as the once-friendly hotel management has made it clear they are not “game” to negotiate a special “Mutineer Check-out Time” of 3:00 PM today. I’m seeking the extra time to wrap up some final details on Mutineer Magazine’s 2nd Annual Red Carpet Tasting sponsored by Amarula Cream.
In the meantime, I must tell you about the Russian River Valley Winegrowers “Single Night”, happening June 5, 2010 at C. Donatiello Winery in Healdsburg, California. “Single” is the name of the game here, with single-vineyard wines being poured for nubile single wine drinkers coming together to rub shoulders and whatever the hell else kids do these days.
