Mickey’s it is now taking it into the Octagon by utilizing one of the fastest growing sports in the world to promote its fine malt liquor, Mixed Martial Arts (MMA). Some of MMA’s top performers are featured on cans of this wicked brew. This week BJ Penn, one of the best MMA athletes in the world, will adorn the 24oz cans of Mickey’s. Now it’s my mission to find the Georges St. Pierre collector can, kick ass GSP.

From the moment you set your eyes on the label you know that something strange is going on. Pink elephants and dancing alligators adorn a blue background with what could be a Chinese dragon, but it’s hard to tell. Even the bottle is not what it seams, wrapped in plastic, designed to look like ceramic.

The first thing that I noticed when I visited the Three Floyds website was the green garden gnome, named Alpha King, throwing gang signs. This alone was intriguing enough to ensure that I continue my exploration of the Three Floyds website. Moving further into the depths of gnomism, I clicked the “Three Floyds goes on the road” link, and I then saw The Dark Lord label. I’ve been captivated by it since the first time I saw it, it reminds me of a Frank Frazetta painting, the Dark Lord standing over the slain and generally kicking ass. Continue Reading »
