This blog was inspired by a great story that ran today in the Rochester Democrat and Chronicle about the rum runners of Lake Ontario. The newspaper had the ability to cite previous issues of itself dating back to 1921.

We have not one, but two epic stories of criminal bravery for you to wrap up the unintended “criminal week” here on the Mutineer Magazine Blog. What’s more is that these stories both occurred this week, which I feel is a testament to the human spirit, in that these burglars didn’t let the crumbling economy hold them back or distract them. These men are professionals, or at least the closest thing to it, because according to reports all of these criminals remain at large. As reported today in the Madison Capital Times, two men were arrested in Madison when the owner walked in on the two burglars trying to leave through another door. The men apparently pounded almost an entire bottle of what I can only assume is Herradura Seleccion Suprema, as the article says it is a “$600 bottle of Herradura tequila”. Keep in mind they enjoyed the tequila while STILL IN THE RESTAURANT. Probably not the best idea. Continue Reading »
