Tales of the Cocktail Event Spotlight: Aperitivo Italiano

An event Mutineer is looking forward to at Tales of the Cocktail is Aperitivo Italiano. The Fleur De Lis Room at the Royal Sonesta Hotel will be transformed into a Venetian Carnevale with some of Italy’s best bartenders standing at the ready to whet your appetite for all that is to come at Tales.

The event is hosted by Spirit of Italy, an organization comprised of eight companies that was founded in 2011 by some of Italy’s finest producers of spirits, amari, liqueurs, and aperitifs who have been in the business for generations. The companies represented include Amaro Lucano, Luxardo, Moccia, Nardini, Pallini, Toschi, Varnelli and Cocchi. In the days leading up to Tales we will highlight a cocktail from each brand.

WHAT: Aperitivo Italiano
WHERE: Fleur De Lis Room at the Royal Sonesta Hotel
WHEN: Wednesday, July 17, 4:30-6:00pm
Complimentary Venetian Carnevale masks will be provided to guests.

“Engage in a Venetian Carnevale experience with the family-owned Italian Amari and liqueur producers of The Spirit of Italy. Led by Francesco Lafranconi, Executive Director of Mixology & Spirits Education for Southern Wine and Spirits; world-renowned Italian mixologists of the caliber of Mauro Mahjoub, Luca Cordiglieiri, Jacopo Falleni, Davide Zanardo, William Perbellini, Giovanni and Teresa DePergola, Livio Lauro and Simone Caporale will prepare aperitivi cocktails featuring Amaro Lucano, Luxardo, Moccia, Nardini, Pallini, Toschi, Varnelli and Cocchi. The owners of these iconic brands will be in attendance, making this tasting the perfect way to whet your appetite for the many Tales of the Cocktail festivities to come.”
