Beverage Kickstarter Spotlight: Pecaño – A Texas Pecan Liqueur

Here at Mutineer HQ, we are all about cheering on beverage entrepreneurs and their efforts to bring something new to your glass. Kickstarter is a great resource for people to bring their ideas to life. One project we dig right now is from Pecaño out of Austin, TX.

During his time in Italy, Jeff Schmulen was inspired by the bittersweet liqueurs served, such as the black walnut liqueur. Upon his return, he decided to create his own, but with a decidedly Texan flare. He created Pecaño using all natural ingredients to make what he describes as a “profoundly textured, aromatic and flavorful spirit.” At Mutineer, we are intrigued by the possibilities for this liqueur and would love to see it brought to life.

Watch the video above, and check out Jeff’s project on Kickstarter. If the video doesn’t convince you, perhaps the recipes below will. There are only a couple of days left to back this project, so hurry!
