We love contests. We love creativity. We love thinking outside of the box and we love people who think outside of the box as well. And of course, we love beer and beverage in general. With that said, the Great Northern Brewery’s Black Star Barter is getting us excited as there is no limit as to how awesome this will be.
The idea is simple — what would you do or trade for a year’s supply of Black Star Beer? Black Star is looking for the most outrageous, over-the-top submissions and nothing is off-limits, with off-the-wall submissions being encouraged. If you can rock the socks off the judges who will be evaluating submissions based on creativity, awesomeness, thoughtfulness, and enthusiasm, you’ll earn yourself a year’s worth a Black Star Beer. That is 52 cases, or 1,248 beers, enough to drink 3.4 beers per day for an entire year, which sounds like an awesome predicament to find oneself in. There can only be one winner, however, so you better show up ready to rock.
The Black Star Barter will be held Saturday February 5, 2011 at The Great Northern Brewery in Whitefish, Montana. For more information, times, and contact information, please visit the Black Star Beer website.
We foresee buffalos, live or stuffed, preferably stuffed for safety’s sake, the world’s largest burrito, and people claiming to be able to sneeze with their eyes open, but don’t take our word for it, go and see for yourself. Mutineer Editor in Chief Alan Kropf has already started the bartering with tots. Tater tots. Good luck beating that.
