268 Days on the Road: Alan’s 2010 Mutinous Scrapbook

2010 was crazy. It’s all quite a blur to be honest. Here are some glimpses into the madness. Bring on 2011!

JANUARY. I started 2010 in the Mutineer RV, which offered velvet ceilings and ultimate mobility.

MARCH. Mutineer Photog Ian and myself with Jonathan Goldsmith. Photo shoot alpha. The adventure begins!

MARCH. In the underbelly of Calaveras County.

MARCH. Ready to party. Mutineer Magazine Red Carpet Tasting photoshoot.

APRIL. Interviewing the magnificent John Jordan of Jordan Vineyard & Winery.

APRIL. Preaching the Mutineer gospel from a tree in SF.

MAY. With Mutineer DJ Hunter. Water balloons vs. police helicopters at the Mutineer Beach HQ in Marina Del Rey for the the 2nd Annual Mutineer Magazine Red Carpet Tasting.

MAY. Comedic partner in crime Ben Morrison at the 2nd Annual Mutineer Magazine Red Carpet Tasting.

MAY. Hosting Rose Avengers Producers TasteLive broadcast in San Francisco with my favorite fine beverage mug.

JUNE. Ultra trip to Bordeaux with Le Wine Buffs. Mutineer Photog Ian was there too, but he’s taking the photo. We broke into turrets, climbed trees, and Ian defended a lady’s honor.

JUNE. Wine Blog Awards meets Conquest for the Planet of the Apes and the Wine Bloggers Conference in Walla Walla, WA.

JULY. Director of Ops Jeff Dorenbush aka The Paperwork Ninja at an Amarula mixology competition in New Orleans.

JULY. Building a disguise to ransack the swag room a second time at Tales of the Cocktail.

JULY. An improvised outfit for the Hendrick’s bathrobe after-party at Tales of the Cocktail. Yes.

JULY. Mutinous obstacle course in the hotel room in New Orleans during Tales of the Cocktail.

AUGUST. Dir. of Ops Jeff Dorenbush, Photog Ian Andreae, Photog Asst. Chris Reis, and yours truly on horseback at Six Sigma in Lake County. Huevos rancheros! Booya!

SEPTEMBER. Spent 268 days on the road this year. = Road Beard.

SEPTEMBER. Hello Calaveras County. Camp Mutineer is set into motion.

OCTOBER. I got my bro back after proud service with the Army’s 82nd Airborne Division and doing tours in Iraq and Haiti. He’s now Mutineer Online Editor and beer wizard. This makes me very happy.

OCTOBER. With Christophe from Wine Biz Radio with enthusiasm at Jordan Vineyard and Winery for their mind-blowing Halloween party.

NOVEMBER. Bottleman in public. Ultra pinot gris tailgating before the Oregon Ducks vs. my beloved Washington Huskies in Eugene. Brutal loss for the dawgs, but morale was high for our King Estate friends..

DECEMBER. The comedians of the Mutineer Magazine Holiday Comedy Festival at Jacuzzi Family Vineyards. Minus Natasha. Hilarious. Big thanks to Don Roberto Tequila.

DECEMBER. HST & Steadman. The Mutineer & Mutineer Photog Ian Andreae. Yes.

    Didn’t see any pics of the HdR event in Paso last Apr/May? Alan and Charles Smith on stage together! There must be some good pics on the HdR site. Will have to check. My photographer friend was working the event, so I will have to look for some from Charles’ WA wine presentation with Alan.
