Stone Total Tap Tower Takeover Tour

stone pic

Starting in the mid-Atlantic on the first day of October, legendary brew-meister Greg Koch and his band of merry men will be taking their world class beers on a 7 day, 7 city tour. This intense display of ultra-rare, limited, special and collaboration releases will set a record of the most simutaneous taps from one brewery at one time, at one location.

The 7 day tour starts in Baltimore, MD (08/01) where Alewife officially has its grand opening celebration. Stone takes over all 40 taps at this brand spanking new craft beer bar unofficially launching Baltimore Beer Week 2010 which starts 6 days later.

From there the tour rolls to Cambridge, MA and Lord Hobo (08/02), where there will be 43 beers to try. In NYC they take over Rattle N Hum Bar (08/03), closing out Craft Beer Week 2010. Iconic DC bar, Churchkey (08/04) will be next for the takeover. Chicago’s SmallBar (08/05) will be hosting the 40 beers spread thoughout all three of their locations around town. Duckworth’s Grill and Bar (08/06) in Charlotte, NC will be the final location before returning to where it all began at Naja’s Place in Redondo Beach on October 7th.

Most events coincide with a limited early entry time, where with a specially-purchased commemorative t-shirt, guests get a chance to hang with the man behind the brand as he signs shirts and enjoys the brews with you before the event opens to everybody else.

So if you want a real once and a lifetime experience of having some very, very rare brews from a trend-setting brewery, while shmoozing with the brewmaster and his loyal companions, get a ticket for the event nearest you while the gettings good.

The Duckworth’s event is only 3 hours away from me .. but on a work night, so I won’t be able to go. Wish I could though, this would be awesome.

I’ll be going to the Duckworth’s event next week, and I can’t wait. I’m particularly looking forward to the Smoked Porters with chipotle peppers and vanilla beans, as well as the various vintages of IRS.
