Waltham, MA: “Brew to the Future” with Andy Crouch, Dann Paquette and Jon Curtis

  • Location: Gordon’s Wine

  • Description: This event is the first installment of Gordon’s Wine’s new series called “The Art, Beauty and Complexity of Beer; A Series of Not-So-Serious Discussions,” which will be moderated by Andy Crouch, author of the “Beer Scribe” blog. While partaking in beer samples from the guest brewer’s at each installment, Andy will engage the brewer’s in discussions about craft beer and the industry. Dann Paquette, co-owner and brewer of Pretty Things Beer and Ale Project and Jon Curtis from the Haverhill Brewery are Andy’s first victims, discussing “the impact of traditional brewing cultures on their work, from Jon’s modern take on German classics to Dann’s roots in English methods. With Jon and Dann, there will be no shortage of opinion, hilarity, and (of course) period costumes.”

Each one of these pairings is offered throughout the 2 hour event with giveaways and information about all of the beers and food pairings. Also, the event serves as a charity fundraiser for an organization that provides Christmas day meals to Boulder’s homeless or those unable to buy food called Miracle on Walnut Street.

Fort Pierce, FL: 3rd Annual Treasure Coast Beer Fest

  • Description: “The 3rd Annual Treasure Coast Beer Fest will include over 150 different beers with special beers and guests arriving and pouring just for this year’s event, beers you won’t be able to taste anywhere else. Located along the Indian River in Downtown Fort Pierce, Florida, the view and atmosphere is perfect and the fest epic. The event starts at 1:00 p.m. and wraps up at 5:00 p.m. with a lucky downtown location hosting the after-fest party, the location of which is forthcoming. Tickets are on sale now and at select local locations which are listed on the web site. There is a separate entrance fee for those attending as a designated driver. Food, water, facilities, music, and more will be at the ready disposal of all attendees and good times will flow for 4 solid hours of fun.”
