Rick Bakas and St. Supery Winery are hosting another installment of their virtual tasting series on September 2nd. The idea behind #Cabernet Day is that anyone, anywhere in the world, can contribute to the conversation simply by including the hashtag #Cabernet in their posts on Twitter, Facebook, Foursquare, Gowalla, personal blogs, and all other forms of social media. People are encouraged to drink Cabernet the day of, and engage others doing the same with conversation, tasting notes, and suggestions.
There are some big name sponsors and participants contributing to the event. For example, those looking for a port in the storm can cruise into outposts such as St. Supery in California, O’Vineyards in the Languedoc (Southern France), and others in Oregon, Australia, etc.
Numerous other wineries will be participating virtually, including famed Napa wineries like Caymus and Cakebread, and prominent Washington wineries like L’Ecole No. 41 and Woodward Canyon.

I’m so excited. Some pretty legendary wines will be attending at each participating winery and we’re going to have a lot of fun connecting with Cab lovers across the Atlantic and round the world. Thanks for mentioning my participation through O’Vineyards! :)
