Craft Beer Calendar: Notable Craft Beer Events — Week of August 16th


There are lots of great beer event listing sites out on the “interwebz” such as Beer Advocate, Rate Beer, and Craftbeer.com. These sites have a user posted database of calendars chock full of beer events. For the average beer drinker, however, these schedules can be a little daunting- this Saturday alone held over twenty events combined!

This weekly posting will serve as your quick reference guide to the hottest beer events for this upcoming week- featuring craft beer and food pairing dinners, festivals, and events that will host representatives from the involved brewery.

Description: “We are pulling out stuff from the cellar that we have been collecting all year long. Chef Dave has created a fantastic menu and Don Bichel, our beloved Mid-West rep from Dogfish Head Brewing will be here to explain the pairings and describe the beer.”
Note: The Facebook page of this event was updated to show that Randall the Enamel Animal will be making an appearance at this event, leading to the availability of Dogfish Head 90 Minute IPA through a Randall filled with Centennial Hops all night.

Samuel Adam's 6th Annual Beer Lovers Choice

Clayton, MO: 6th Annual Samuel Adams Beer Lover’s Choice

La Crosse, WI: Rare New Glarus Brewing Beer Tasting

Description: “The R&D beers are products served only at the brewery that Jeff S will bring with. The event will be limited to tickets for 90 guests… Attendees will get a souvenir glass, a raffle ticket for swag giveaways during the half-way point break, bread, cheese, fruit, and Bodega Sandwich samples. Generous samples of beers will be poured. New Glarus Special Beer Tasting with Rep Jeff Schaefer.”
