The Bruery Black Tuesday

It’s already all the rage on Twitter, Facebook, and just about everywhere else …but we felt compelled to mention it as well. Black Tuesday is back! Brewed by The Bruery out of Placentia, CA, Black Tuesday is their monster 20% ABV, pitch black imperial stout aged in bourbon barrels for over a year. Now in its second year, Black Tuesday was unleashed upon an unsuspecting world for the first time last year and took the beer world by storm. It was also a featured beer in Issue 8 of Mutineer Magazine. For the inaugural release, seekers of Black Tuesday would wait hours in line, offer their first born child for a bottle, or spend their entire paycheck to acquire one on eBay. Everyone was surprised, even those at The Bruery.

This year, however, they’ve anticipated this and have developed a much better plan that will leave customers happy and ease many of the stresses The Bruery staff faced last year. This year they will start selling tickets online on September 1st that will guarantee you either 1, 2, or 3 bottles of Black Tuesday at one of two sessions, depending on what you choose. You will also receive 3 “Black Tuesday” tickets good for your choice of a taste of Black Tuesday, cask Chocolate Rain, or Cherry Chocolate Rain, in conjunction with 5 additional tickets for other beers. But, there’s more! You’ll get a Bruery logo glass and artisan cheese and chocolate pairings. Sounds good to me! Tickets will be priced at $50, $80, and $110 –depending on how many bottles you’d like.

The Bruery has taken the time to plan this and make sure everyone leaves happy, so when it comes time to plan your Black Tuesday adventure, please think ahead. You MUST have a ticket to attend, so designated drivers will not be able to attend.

Are you a Reserve Society member? If so, you CAN buy 3 additional bottles with your Reserve Society membership!

Watch the rather entertaining video below for more information regarding the release. See you there!

I hope to try Black Tuesday this year. I’ve been tempted to buy a bottle on eBay, but luckily came to my senses.

I’m hoping to get a ticket to the party, the Chocolate Rain last year was amazing. I just don’t think they’ll be ready for the huge onslaught on Sept. 1 at 9am and I bet the website crashes.
