Tonight one of our favorite beer bloggers and good friend, Chris Spradley, will be making an appearance on Gordon Ramsay’s newest FOX reality cooking show, MasterChef.
MasterChef conducted a nationwide search for the best amateur home cooks in America. Tonight, Chris will be among the top 50 finalists competing to become a contestant on the new reality cooking show. If he succeeds, he will be faced with a series of challenges designed to test his palate, food knowledge, passion and culinary skills. The winner will receive a quarter of a million dollars and will be given the opportunity to publish his or her own cookbook.
This evening, Chris will be presenting his unique approach to cooking with beer to Gordon Ramsay and the guest judges. Those who have tasted his Beer Cheese Soup can attest to its amazingness. Due to his contract with the show, Chris cannot reveal any details on whether or not his soup was good enough to land him a spot on the show. Instead, we will just have to find out ourselves on Fox at 9pm Eastern/Pacific, 8pm Central.

I didn’t watch the show but heard a rumor that all 3 chefs told Chris that cooking with beer was a bad idea or something along those l ines. Can someone elaborate or verify this story? Thanks.
