The Balvenie Partners with Slow Food USA
Not gonna lie, it does not take much to convince me to divulge in a fine glass of Single Malt Scotch. In fact, I can rarely ever come up with a good excuse NOT to drink fine beverages (after all, it is in my job description). However, when given a legitimate charitable reason, alcohol consumption becomes my civic duty.
The Balvenie, the world’s most handcrafted Single Malt Scotch whisky, recently announced that it is entering into a partnership with Slow Food USA™, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a world in which everyone can have access to good, clean and fair food.
The Balvenie will partner with Slow Food USA™ on a series of initiatives, including events, tastings and educational activities, designed to highlight traditional crafts and the wider benefits of the ‘slow’ approach to food and drink production and appreciation.
This excites the Mutineer team as many of us are uber foodies and our magazine, as a whole, supports and advocates both fine beverages and the ‘slow food’ movement. And now we have a legitimate excuse to justify our consumption of The Balvenie. Drinking for the environment FOR THE WIN.
Cheers to Mother Nature.
