RRVW Single Night

Ah yes! Another random appearance by yours truly on the Mutineer Blog. After 2 months of spotty blog posts from the road in the war-torn Mutineer Passat, I am writing this blog under duress at an undisclosed hotel somewhere between Chico and Sacramento as the once-friendly hotel management has made it clear they are not “game” to negotiate a special “Mutineer Check-out Time” of 3:00 PM today. I’m seeking the extra time to wrap up some final details on Mutineer Magazine’s 2nd Annual Red Carpet Tasting sponsored by Amarula Cream.

In the meantime, I must tell you about the Russian River Valley Winegrowers “Single Night”, happening June 5, 2010 at C. Donatiello Winery in Healdsburg, California. “Single” is the name of the game here, with single-vineyard wines being poured for nubile single wine drinkers coming together to rub shoulders and whatever the hell else kids do these days.

Take away the single-vineyard wines and you’re left with a gaggle of beautiful single women ready to party, aka a typical night for the Mutineers. Add the single-vineyard wines though, and you’re in for an epic tasting of some pretty spectacular wines at a killer location. The C. Donatiello Winery has become a Sonoma hotspot with its summer concert series and will serve as an ideal home for this inspired event. Golden State Warriors MC Franco Finn will be pumping up the crowd and 101.7 “The Fox” DJ Samantha Vega will be providing the soundtrack. This will be awesome, and just to prove it, here is a list of participating wineries:
Acorn Winery
Balletto Vineyards
Benovia Winery
D&L Carinalli
Dutton-Goldfield
Ferrari-Carano Vineyards & Winery

Alan, beyond being under duress you seem to be girl crazy! Sure, they’ll be plenty of single folks tasting through the amazing line up of Single Vineyard wines, but I caution you to be careful how you work the room. There’ll be a thick mix of committed couples (living in sin), married folks and I’m sure life partners with glasses in hand. We don’t need to be breaking up a tussle in the vineyards. ;-) Here’s the stellar line up of Russian River Valley wineries:

Acorn Winery, Balletto Vineyards, Benovia Winery, C. Donatiello Winery, Graton Ridge Cellars, D&L Carinalli, Dutton-Goldfield, Ferrari-Carano Vineyards & Winery, Foppiano Vineyards, Foppoli, Healdsburg Ranches, J. Lynne, John Tyler, Joseph Swan, Ketcham Estate, Korbel, Landy Family Vineyards, Longboard Vineyards, Lynmar Estate, Merry Edwards Wines, Papapietro Perry Winery, Patz & Hall, Siduri, Siebert, Twomey Cellars, Williams Selyem, Windsor Oaks, and Y. Rousseau Wines.

Not only will this be a great night to taste all of these incredible single vineyard wines at an amazing location, there will be a live acution too.

We have 9 Adventure lots for groups to bid on. That’s right, group bids, so you can share in the adventure and fun of the Russian River Valley with at least 4 and in some cases more of your friends.

Here’s a quick sample of our Adventure lots:

Kayaking: C. Donatiello, Chris Donatiello will take you on a kayak trip down the Russian River culminating in a old fashioned New England clam bake and lots of wine from his vineyard to go with.

Jeep Tours: Hop Kiln Winery, Take a jeep tour with Chuck Mansfield of HK of the 200+ acre winery with epic views of the Russian Valley ending in BBQ and wine tasting along the Russian River.

Hot Air Balloon Ride: John Tyler Estate, Katey & Nicole Bacigalupi have arranged for you to take a hot air balloon ride over the Russian River Valley and then land in their families vineyard for an afternoon of wine tasting and incredible food.

Cave Party: Thomas George Estates, Jeremy Baker & Chris Russi are offering a party in their new wine cave, which is pretty spectacular. You’ll have tapas and wine from their vineyard along with a DJ to keep the party shaking.

But wait……there’s more…..5 more Adventure lots to be exact, but….

First you should go here to buy your ticket: http://rrvw.org/singlenight2010/

Then you should head to our FB page and check out the videos to all our Adventure lots and start talking to your friends about which ones you are going to bid on and WIN!
