An anti-gun group is urging Starbucks to ban weapons at all of its retail locations… Earlier this month, the group’s president Paul Helmke sent a letter to Starbucks CEO Howard Schultz, claiming there has been a “growing frequency” of gun owners openly carrying guns in public places, especially in California, where open carry weapons are legal as long as they are unloaded and holstered. According to the Arizona Republic:
A Phoenix man was arrested earlier this week on suspicion of stealing beer from Circle K convenience stores at least 39 times throughout Tempe and Phoenix.
Atkins was being held on 21 counts of theft in Tempe and 18 counts of theft in Phoenix. The total cost of the stolen merchandise was $4,604.35.

Will they go for it? Too soon to tell, and these things involve lots of ins and outs, movers and shakers, those kinds of things. If creating laws is like making sausage, then creating wine laws is like making sausage with a belly full of wine and eyes full of dollar signs. This is very epic stuff people, and the bill being passed will be a big win for New Jersey wine drinkers.

A bill that would allow shipping of wine directly to New Jersey residents tiptoed forward in the Legislature on Thursday, after bill S766 cleared the Senate Law and Public Safety Committee and now awaits a full Senate vote. The assembly version of the legislation, A1702, awaits a similar committee review before it can be voted on.
Epic stuff indeed….
