While a nice high ABV beer is nice once and awhile, I really do appreciate the low ABV beers that aren't like drinking dirty dish water. Stone Levitation comes to mind but I've never actually heard about the Anchor small beer until now so I'll have to give it a shot.

Sierra Nevada and Dogfish Head did one with their Life & Limb. Their ultra-rare keg only small beer version of Life & Limb was called Limb & Life, and as you said, it was made from the second-runnings of Life & Limb. Tasting them side by side was really cool and they were worlds apart.
