Ron Artest and Natalin Avci

…And we’re back people! Apologies for the lapse in blog posts the last two days as we descended into the depths of deadline to finish off the most bombastically awesome issue of Mutineer Magazine yet, which is slated to hit newsstands across the nation January 5.

Today, fine beverage finds an unlikely fan in controversial basketballer Ron Artest, who has admitted to drinking Hennessey Cognac during halftime while playing for the Chicago Bulls.

According to The Sporting News:

I used to drink Hennessy … at halftime,” Artest says in the interview, which hits newsstands this week. “I (kept it) in my locker. I’d just walk to the liquor store (near the stadium) and get it.” … which Artest says happened in part because the Bulls lost so often.

Hypothesis: Running up and down a basketball court with a belly full of Cognac will likely cause your team to lose, unless you’re at the Mutineer Magazine annual summertime “Hoops & Cognac” family picnic, though we’re only running to chase down aired three-bombs and refill our plastic cups of X.O.
