Alcohol Revolution

The easy answer is EVERYWHERE. Our guys have been all over the place, culminating into a massive West Coast tour last week that caused a lapse in blog posting, though the team is back into the office and back to work on putting together the greatest issue of Mutineer Magazine EVER. We have some big stuff coming up that has required us to spread ourselves a little thin lately, but those balls are rolling and things are very exciting in our world. Stay TUNED! Next issue of Mutineer hits newsstands the last week of October!

Bring Back Crystal Pepsi!

Crystal Pepsi is coming back people. Ok, it isn’t, but it should. People are amped up for a clear cola again. Word on the street is that Crystal Pepsi can be had in South America, and we have a writer investigating the South American clear cola scene at this very moment. Crystal Pepsi and the McRib are one of my all-time food and beverage pairings, and if I buy one more bottle of vintage Crystal Pepsi for $30+ off of Ebay, Jeff is going to fight me. In the street. It will not be good. Must get Crystal Pepsi back into production…

Allagash Vagabond

What has been over four years in the making has almost reached the end of its journey. Allagash’s Vagabond, the second beer in their limited release 375mL series, is scheduled to be released at 9 AM on October 19 directly from the brewery. Only 500 bottles will be available with a bottle limit of two per person. Continue Reading »

black tuesday

Reminiscent of that dark, gloomy day in October 1929 that shook the world twice over, Black Tuesday, the beer, is causing widespread panic of its own. The beer that has been talked about for months is nearing reality as it is prepared to be released the final Tuesday of October. As was the Black Tuesday of 1929, this sucker is mean and it means business at a mind blowing 19.5% alcohol by volume. A beer so volatile, the only way to keep the general population safe at night was to confine it to bourbon barrels and hide them in a dark room to rest for over a year before being unleashed on an unsuspecting world. USB Coffee Warmer

It’s a USB powered coffee warmer…GENIUS. This picture was taken in the most futuristic shop in Bordeaux. I don’t speak, or read, French, so all I know about this brilliant product is that if I hook it up to my computer, it will keep my coffee piping hot, but what else would you need to know. This product is a WINNER.

1800 Tequila’s self-proclaimed “Tequila War” against Patron is getting epic, with 1800 Tequila creating a television commercial with Michael Imperioli (Sopranos) kicking a bottle of Patron off a desk. AND THEN…well, that’s really it. This is a pretty weak war so far, lacking the hallmarks of real corporate war, such as dirty smear campaigns and Escalade shootouts, but perhaps this is the first move of many. Stay tuned…
