Magic Hat Brewing Co. out of Vermont is launching its own Twitter Taste Live of sorts tomorrow called “Virtual Libations”. Sporting a very cool logo, the tasting format allows tasters all over the universe to taste along with Magic Hat head brewer Matt Cohen and share their thoughts in real time to be posted on the Magic Hat website.

Join Magic Hat head brewer Matt Cohen for a night of libationary sampling, live from the Magic Hat Brewery in South Burlington, Vermont, on June 30th at 8pm EST! This edition of Virtual Libations will feature the beers of the Summer Scene Variety 12-pak each to be sampled for 15 minutes for all to see on our Tasting Page.
We'll have a live video feed of Matty'O and he'll be answering your quixotic queries via Twitter. To be a part of the tasting, get a Twitter account and pick up a 12-pack of the Summer Scene variety, as you'll be sampling the following fermentations in the following order:
- #9-the not quite pale ale that swirls around your palate, asking more questions than it answers.
- Lucky Kat-the IRRESISTIBLE Pale Ale with a big hop bite.
- Wacko-the all-new liquid song of summer.
- Summer '09 Odd Notion-a Belgian-style blonde bombshell of an ale.

This sounds awesome! I stumbled upon Magic Hat a few years ago and have been enjoying their beers ever since.
As your attorney I suggest you pick up a case of the Summer Scene Variety Pack and join in!
Hate to say it, but have you tried anything from Magic Hat lately? They are seriously lacking.
Their Wacko is absolutely horrible and I can’t figure out for the life of me why they even released it. No flavor …. no aromas … but don’t worry cause it’s colored with beer juice. I had a hard time giving this stuff away. The Lucky Kat wasn’t too bad, and wasn’t a big fan of the Summer ’09 Odd Notion either, but it was notably better than the Wacko.
I bought their summer variety pack from Wal-Mart, which had super cool packaging, but I find myself wanting my money back. I’ll be tuning into the live tasting, however, to see if people agree with me.
I haven’t had anything from Magic Hat in a while. I guess I will be forced to discover the true nature of these beers. I see a call to Magic Hat in my future.

I heard that I might see some Magic Hat in Jacksonville, Florida? Is that true? I drink my favorite brews and get all my news and gossip at the European Street Cafe’s in Jax and Jax Beach. Will ya’ll be tasting the new beer at any of these locations? My sister in law is from the north east. She knows her beer and gives Magic Hat ratings for quality and consistency. I love the name, can’t wait to taste some magic for myself. Hope to see you soon down here in the south, where the cold beer keeps us smiling coool.
