This is the first new Cognac for Hennessy in 48 years. “We are thrilled to launch such a spectacular new product from Hennessy, the leading cognac in the world,” said Mark Cornell, CEO Moet Hennessy USA. “Our fast growing consumer base is looking for new and innovative ways to consume cognac and we have the perfect blend to speak to this generation. Hennessy Black The new Hennessy BlackHennessy Black is a fantastic new blend that takes Hennessy beyond cognac,” said Andy Glaser, Senior Vice President Hennessy Business. “Its incredible smooth taste and versatile nature will enable a new set of premium spirit drinkers to enjoy Hennessy in a variety of new ways.Hennessy Black Age Verification One of the most sleek and futuristic age verification screens ever. Hennessy Black is currently only available in ten US markets (Atlanta, Boston, Chicago, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Indianapolis, New Orleans, New York, Phoenix, and Washington DC), though it be available in more areas in September. Hennessy Black Versatility Versatility is a big part of the vision behind Hennessy Black. Culture has been a big part of the new Cognac’s image, with hip hop producer Swizz Beatz creating a song for Hennessy Black and a red carpet New York Launch Party featuring celebrities and the JabbaWockeeZ (Remember the Gatorade G Super Bowl commercial?) dancing to the Swizz Beat tune. Hennessy Black Availability Hennessy Black is currently only available in specific areas, all of which are listed on the Hennessy Black website. So what is Hennessy Black? Hennessy Black is made from grapes sourced from the four premier growing areas of France’s Cognac region. The grapes are first made into a wine that is distilled two times to preserve their intense floral and complex characters. The clear eaux-de-vie are then aged up to eight years in French Limousin oak casks that have been previously used at Hennessy for at least 5 years. Using a process that has been passed down through seven generations of Hennessy blenders, the Master Blender chooses a selection of 35 to 45 distinctive eaux-di-vie, achieving the unmatched quality that has become synonymous with the brand.
