Bakon Vodka

Bakon Vodka, the bacon flavored vodka produced by Black Rock Spirits of Seattle, is a little difficult to wrap your head around. It’s vodka, that tastes like…bacon? Amazing…

From bakonvodka.com:
Bakon Vodka is a superior quality potato vodka with a savory bacon flavor. It’s clean, crisp, and delicious. This is the only vodka you’ll ever want to use to make a Bloody Mary, and it’s a complementary element of both sweet and savory drinks.

Bakon Vodka is also a great Bar-B-Q companion. Use it in a marinade or sip it chilled with a steak.

Regarding the inspiration for the bacon beverage:
People have been mixing savory ingredients with alcohol as long as we have been drinking alcohol. Writers from the 17th century, including John Locke and Samuel Pepys frequently imbibed and wrote about savory infused ales.

Although today you can find plenty of sweet, fruity-flavored mixtures and infusions, we wanted to set out to do something different, something savory…something bacon. And we set out to do it right, to create a premium-quality vodka you’d enjoy drinking.

Here are some recipes for Bakon Vodka, though it is currently only available in the Pacific Northwest, so if you live in those states, click here for specific distribution information.
