The fine people at Wine and Spirits Jobs sent me an e-mail introducing me to their job listing service this morning, and it is a pretty awesome site. The abundance of job offerings is modest but solid, ranging from Sales Representative to Master of Whiskey to Hispanic Market Manager. These postings have gotten me a bit concerned. I knew Mutineer Magazine needed another Sales Rep, but now I’m going to talk to the guys about investing in a Master of Whiskey and Hispanic Market Manager as well. Yes, I am confident having these key roles filled on our staff will get us to the next level, so much so that Steve Heimoff will have to finally start returning my phone calls.
Beyond Wine and Sprits Jobs, there are a bunch of online beverage job listing sites. Craigslist is always my first choice, and the only one-stop site where you can jump-start your beverage career as a wine-slinger for Mozza, buy a yacht to put together your own “Curse of Lono” expedition, and secure erotic and legal services to tie it all together.
I’m pretty sure Wine Spectator has job listings on their site, but going to the WS site feels un-American and gives me the creeps, so I’m not sure on that one.
The Court of Master Sommeliers has a pretty good board that I suggest checking out. Check out the courses page if you are interested in becoming a more qualified beverage applicant.
Any other good job sources out there?
