You can find beer festivals all across America from small town gatherings to those large enough to be held in convention centers. As craft beer becomes more available and more understood people want to experience what American beer culture is all about.

A short time from now one of the largest beer festivals in the country opens the taps and welcomes beer lovers from all across the globe. March 6th begins Philly Beer Week where over 533 events will be taking place and more than 50 breweries will be present to showcase American craft beer. Restaurants, brewpubs and breweries all across the city are participating with special draft selections, tastings and beer and food pairings.

Get ready to enjoy some great food and great beer at places like The Restaurant School, which is offering 4 Restaurants – 4 Courses – 4 Beers for $50. Pairings include dishes such as Miniature Duck Confit Eggroll, Braised Pork Belly over Butternut Squash & Cranberries and Potato Crusted Salmon with a Bitter Beer Sauce. You can also get your fill of local beer at the Uno Chicago Grill who is offering craft beer on tap for $4.00 all week.

I am seriously contemplating a trip up North for this. My parents live in NY … just about 2 hours from Philly. I’m sure they would love to see me and the Philly Beer week sounds like an absolute hoot!

    Cheers!
