I'm a self-confessed bacon freak (actually trying my hand at making my own for the first time, along with sausages, salumi, etc.) but now we're seeing bacon in everything. I guess it's better than the ubiquitous sun-dried tomato of the 80s, but it's all getting a bit silly capitalizing on the bacon trend!
