Alpha King

The first thing that I noticed when I visited the Three Floyds website was the green garden gnome, named Alpha King, throwing gang signs. This alone was intriguing enough to ensure that I continue my exploration of the Three Floyds website. Moving further into the depths of gnomism, I clicked the “Three Floyds goes on the road” link, and I then saw The Dark Lord label. I’ve been captivated by it since the first time I saw it, it reminds me of a Frank Frazetta painting, the Dark Lord standing over the slain and generally kicking ass.

Rabbid Rabbit

Not only does this brewery have some trippy artwork, it also has my favorite beer on the planet, Rabbid Rabbit Saison, a very unique Saison with a nose of French toast. If you ever visit Indiana or Illinois, where the beer is available, make it a point to take some home. The label of the Rabbid Rabbit depicts a large green rabbit accosting what looks like a gnome wearing a jesters hat, and if you look close at the rabbits basket one of the Easter eggs is painted with the image of death. The background of the label reminds me of a tie died t-shirt from the 70’s as if someone was on a bad trip while designing the label. A perfect example of great marketing and a great beer.
