Even easier and far less messy is the bowl of water method.

Fill a bowl (something bigger than a soup bowl) with water, cut the pomegranate in pieces like you did, and then break the seeds off of the segments. The white pulp floats to the top and the juice stays in the water.

You can rock out 2 or 3 in about 15min, and then keep the kernels in the fridge (removed from the h20) for a couple of days... You'll be eatin' that stuff by the fistful.

I love pomegranates. When I was in Iraq, there would be huge groves of pomegranate trees that we had to patrol through and when we stopped to take a break, we'd grab some and rip 'em in half and enjoy. They can be a bit messy as the little seeds tend to go everywhere and get everything sticky, but they pretty much rock.

Guys, easiest way to get all the seeds out of a pomegranate is to slice it open in half, grab a big wooden spoon and "spank it". No, I'm not kidding......thwack the shit out of the pomegranate as if you were reprimanding it for staying out past curfew and they'll all come out effortlessly!
