
If you need one more reason to drink beer, here it is. Students at Rice University in Houston are brewing up a beer that could actually fight cancer. You read that correctly, a beer that has genetically modified yeast that could help reduce the risk of disease.
The aptly named ‘Bio Beer’ contains Resveratrol, that is a naturally occurring compound found in the skin of grapes that has been shown to prevent age-related and obesity-related heart problems in mice. Though not yet completed, it looks like someday soon you can drink your way to health. Cheers!
