The Summer of JJ

Today marks the 2nd day of the “Summer of JJ” (viva Seinfeld), which is a sort of missionary trip to spread far and wide the arrival of  Mutineer Magazine, and I wanted to give everyone a heads up as to what Mutineer Magazine’s Beer Editor is up to.

JJ heads to the Yakima Fresh Hop Ale Festival tonight to judge as well as mingle with other hop heads from the great Pacific Northwest. Check the Fresh Hop Ale Fest tag for more info on this event.

After Washington JJ heads to Colorado for the Great American Beer Festival, aka the mother of all beer festivals, to get the inside scoop on all things beer and make his presence felt in the city that  is consistently rated by news organizations as the best singles city in America.  Any place with lots of beer and beautiful women is JJ’s habitat, so he should thrive in the mile-high city.

JJ wraps things up in Dallas, Texas, scoping out the local brewing scene as well as what is happening with the restaurant scene. JJ originally hails from the Lone Star State, and will rely on his old
connections and quick wit to achieve the kind of hard journalism he is looking to do.  The fine people at Virgin America Airlines took away his razor blade money clip, so he will be unarmed on this trip… Godspeed JJ, Godspeed.

    Hey JJ,

How is the local brewing scene in Dallas? I know the dude that started Stampede beer (with Jessica Simpson spokesperson). If you want an interview, let me know.

PS I look forward to seeing you here.
