
Antica Terra only makes wines that do the label justice. Not the most original marketing banter I’ve heard, but try this on: Antica Terra didn’t feel the 2005 crop from the Antica Terra Vineyard was up to snuff, so they, um, DIDN’T MAKE ANY WINE!!! The lesson here is, don’t call their bluff, these people mean business.

When you walk through the front doors, it makes quite an impression. The place is huge, I mean huge. The Kress is a multi-level restaurant, club, lounge, and banquet hall. As you walk in, you see an enormous round bar with a gorgeous abstract chandelier, flanked all around with banquettes designed in that opulent French-Asian Victorian thing. We’re pretty sure this is what went down: Back in 19XX, the founders of Mutineer Restaurant traveled forward in time to the year 2008 in search of a vision for their restaurant…the rest is history. Located in Florida City, Florida, Mutineer Restaurant’s website features some killer graphics and Billy Joel-esque piano riffs playing in the background. I decide to take advantage of the websites “Tour” feature, as I’m on tour on the West Coast right now, and well, it sounded like a great place to start. With the piano rocking my iMac speakers, I got a glimpse into what Mutineer Restaurant is all about.
