Mutineer Magazine is a magazine and website devoted to beverage writing and ideas. Rather than have our content pass through the pen of a traditional beverage journalist, our content comes straight from the hearts and minds of industry professionals whose years of experience and passion give them a unique and compelling vantage point over any third party observer. By taking our content and putting in into the context of a relatable ideas, Mutineer Magazine will revolutionize the way wine and other libations are presented to young adults and readers in general. The beverage content is presented within the context of other subjects more familiar to the mainstream including music, film, fashion, and modern popular culture.

Mutineer Magazine is based out of Los Angeles, CA and focuses its' efforts on the United States West Coast with our primary markets being Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego, and the wine regions of CA, OR, and WA. The magazine is distributed to nearly every winery, brewery, distillery, and beverage shop on the West Coast. Who are the Mutineers?
Alan Kropf, Wine Mutineer
alan@mutineermagazine.comAlan Kropf is among the world's youngest wine professionals and has studied with both the Court of Master Sommeliers and the Wine and Spirits Education Trust. Alan spent a year as the Sommelier at the Beverly Hills Hotel before leaving to focus on his writing. He has also spent time working in the wine program at Gordon Ramsay in West Hollywood. He is currently writing his first book on the wines of Oregon and is a private wine consultant to restaurants and private collectors.
JJ Bagley, Beer Mutineer
jj@mutineermagazine.comJJ Bagley first gained experience with craft beers while owning and operating his own restaurant in California. This exposure led to a love of fine beers and ales, which motivated him to begin organizing beer and food pairing dinners and consulting for several restaurants. JJ has also traveled the world in search of unique beers to places such as Germany, England, Portugal, Antique, and Italy.
